Approach each problem step-by-step

Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.

Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.

What happened in your interview? How did you feel?

There were lots of problem questions. I had to sit a 30 minute test before the second interview, so we talked about the problems in that one.

How did you prepare for your interviews?

I had a few mock interviews at school.

If you took a test, how did you prepare?

I used practice papers and the Oxford PAT practice papers, as well as the i-want-to-study-engineering.com website.

What advice would you give to future applicants?

Think out loud, approach each problem step-by-step so dont overthink it too much.
