Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.

Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.

What happened in your interview? How did you feel?

There were no questions about personal statements or general questions, and we dived into problem-solving - two of them were physics questions. The interviewers were really friendly. I was a bit nervous at the start, but after successfully solving the first question, I gained huge confidence and started to relax.

How did you prepare for your interviews?

Practiced with some current students from Oxbridge.

If you took a test, how did you prepare?

Do past papers, not just the ENGAA but also other tests, such as the MAT, and the British Physics Olympiad (BphO). Review the mistakes I made frequently.

What advice would you give to future applicants?

Speak out loud all your thoughts about the questions including your guesses. Don’t be afraid of getting your answers wrong or asking questions to your interviewers.
