Final thoughts

Relax & enjoy Cambridge

Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.

Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.

What happened in your interview? How did you feel?

Questions mainly from personal statement, from essays I submitted and from an unseen text of poetry.

How did you prepare?

Just my own wider reading into things I was interested in i.e. critical / academic essays, don't over prepare - it's you and your mind in the interview.Mock interviews are good practice but again don't overdo it and have rehearsed answers.

Looking back, what advice would you give to your past self?

The night before - relax!! Enjoy cambridge and try and see yourself there.
