Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.

Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.

What happened in your interview? How did you feel?

The first part of the interview was based on a source shared twenty minutes before and I was asked a few questions about its messages. Next, I was asked about the readings I mentioned in my personal statement and some more general questions on why I thought I’d be a great fit for Cambridge.

How did you prepare for your interviews?

I asked myself the general questions that I expected to come up - like why I was applying to Cambridge, what I liked about history etc. I also went over my personal statement and reminded myself of the notes I had made on the books I had read.

What advice would you give to future applicants?

Articulate your thought process - talk through anything that confuses you about the questions you are being asked.
