Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.

Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.

Interview Format

2 interviews about 25min and 20 min at 9am and 11am. 2 interviewers each asking questions about a different topic from their speciality.

What happened in your interview? How did you feel?

Started with basic questions from A level biology and then questions got gradually harder to build extra knowledge from what we knew.

Topics: cell biochemistry with an estimation question which required some basic calculations, bacteria, NHS, discussion about a medicine I mentioned (previous knowledge not required)

How did you prepare?

Revise biology A level (although content not hugely required)

Mock Cambridge interview at school with a consultant cardiologist

Looking back, what advice would you give to your past self?

Try not to think about the interview after. I said a lot that I would have liked to have changed and missed some points that were "obvious" but still got a place. Be confident about answers or thoughts.
