Admitting your mistakes is fine
Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.
Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.

My interviews were like an extended discussion. We talked about various issues relating either to extracts of pieces or to more general ideas and problems.
I made sure I could talk confidently about the content of my personal statement.
My advice would be to only put in your personal statement what you can actually talk about confidently. Also, remember that interviewers aren't hugely interested in how much you know - more how you can apply what you do know, and how easily you can be taught. Admitting to mistakes is fine (and even looks good) if you can quickly take on board the new ideas.
