Final thoughts

Don't worry if you feel you messed up an interview; your application is looked at holistically!

Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.

Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.

What happened in your interview? How did you feel?

The interviews were mainly focused on academics with one being a pure Biology interview and the other a Chemistry interview with rudimentary Neuroscience.

How did you prepare for your interviews?

I watched samples of other Cambridge interviews. I did practice interviews with others. I prepared to talk about Chemistry and Biology from my notes.

If you took a test, how did you prepare?

IB exam papers in Biology and Maths

What advice would you give to future applicants?

I thought my first interview was catastrophic but the second was great and got me in. Don't worry too much if you mess up in the interviews or anywhere in the process you can still recover.
