3 interviews: 1 general admission, 1 clinical, 1 scientific.
When got something wrong, was nudged towards right answer, and then asked to analyse what I'd said.
Briefly looked at AS notes.
No
Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.
Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.
I was given accommodation in the college the night before and also three meal tickets to eat from the college
I had 3 interviews over the day which I was given the times of before hand. One was a short 15 minute "general interview" with the admissions tutor. The second interview was with two members of the vet school and the third was with two academics from the college.
The general interview was mainly asking about yourself, how you learn and stuff.
The interview with the members of the vet school asked some questions about content in my personal statement in a way I hadn't really thought about. I said some really stupid wrong answers!
In the third interview I was first asked to do a maths calculation. I said my answer and one of the guys said "are you sure? Why did you do this step?" I realised what I did wrong and came to the right answer. I was asked to work out something else, which I had completely no idea what to do and they helped me through it in baby steps. Finally they asked me about the function of an organ, and then after I answered, they showed me a diagram of one of its cells and asked how it would do that. And I recognised a feature from my A level biology and was right.
I just looked at some of my AS notes to refresh myself, only briefly though.
No.
