Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.

Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.

What happened in your interview? How did you feel?

I was presented with unexpected objects which I had to create a consistent analysis of. I was also expected to react positively to any challenges the interviewer presented to me and take them forward.

How did you prepare for your interviews?

I read around the subjects, making sure I knew what they actually were about. I talked to a teacher that had done one of the subjects as a degree and she gave me a rundown of the way I should be thinking.

What advice would you give to future applicants?

You're showing that you're a good student: that means listening to and really interacting with whatever challenge is put in front of you. Be confident but not arrogant.
