Advice in hindsight

Final thoughts

Went over A-level notes; tried to find past questions. If your school is helpful, take the opportunity to use it (but mine wasn't really).

Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.

Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.

What happened in your interview? How did you feel?

The interviews were completely science based. One included a variety of different questions. The other was one longer question to an end goal, with subquestions within. During the interview time went very quickly and it was very focussed.

What advice do you have for future applicants?

Looking back, what advice would you give to your past self?

I went over all of my A-level notes applicable for preparation. I tried to search for practice questions but couldn’t find anything too useful. I didn’t have a very helpful school so, if you do, use it to your full advantage and take every opportunity available, as this would have helped me relax more in the interview itself.
