Final thoughts

Believe in yourself!

Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.

Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.

What happened in your interview? How did you feel?

1st was economics, and problem-solving/knowledge featured heavily. 2nd was management and my personal statement was key topic as well as subject specific questions. Personal statement analysis was quite forensic and was difficult. 3rd was a pooled interview elsewhere with pre-reading, some activity on that reading and then other work

How did you prepare for your interviews?

Investigated current events in economics

If you took a test, how did you prepare?

Practice papers and sample paper analysis

What advice would you give to future applicants?

Everyone told me applying was pointless. That’s why I did it. If you believe you can do it eventually everyone else will believe you too. And make sure to practise every section and see how you feel.
