Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.
Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.
Test taken:
Number of interviews: 1
Time between interviews: Not applicable (had only one interview)
Length of interviews: 22-23 minutes
Online interview: Yes
I had mentioned my interest in the energy sector in engineering. Consecutively, I was shown an interesting design and the tutors asked me to interpret how the system works. The tutors also challenged me to build some mathematical equations. Ability to identify required physical equations were also tested in the process.
I researched various websites that explain the interview process. On these websites, I encountered some sample questions and the ambigious interview became less uncertain.
I didn’t do extra study for the admission exams apart from the usual study for the IB Physics and Maths courses.
Maintain your confidence as best as you can. Having an interview with one of the best universities in the world can be massively stressful. I guarantee you will perform more closely to your potential if you manage to remain calm.
