Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.

Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.

What happened in your interview? How did you feel?

The Fine Art interview was mainly based on your own individual portfolio. Rather than beginning with questions, the tutors asked you to explain your thought process when creating your artworks. It was student led and they would intervene with questions when it was silent. It is an encouraging atmosphere for you to evaluate your work. It was also a standing interview with the members of staff.

How did you prepare?

I used the practice past papers.

I prepped for the interview on my own, since it is based on your own views and explanations of your work. I suggest going in having a good idea of your own artworks.

What advice do you have for future applicants?

Looking back, what advice would you give to your past self?
