Advice in hindsight

Final thoughts

Be yourself; be confident; do some legal reading.

Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.

Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.

What happened in your interview? How did you feel?

It was a reading comprehension exercise: They gave a legal case or article to read and a list of questions. After the reading time was up they would ask the questions on the list and discuss your answers, and try to probe you on them. Overall they were very nice! The best way to prepare would be to read some cases and try to understand the reasoning behind them.

How did you prepare?

I used practice papers and an LNAT book.

What advice do you have for future applicants?

Looking back, what advice would you give to your past self?

Just be yourself, be confident, and do a bit of legal reading to get used to it! Interviewers were probably just looking out for whether you can comprehend and reason rationally.
