Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.

Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.

What happened in your interview? How did you feel?

For maths it was mostly random maths problems without any theme. Philosophy was more relaxing and discussion based so it felt more like a natural conversation. All of the interviews felt much less stressful than I expected.

How did you prepare for your interviews?

The most useful thing was making sure I knew what was written in my personal statement. There wasn't much else I could do.

If you took a test, how did you prepare?

MAT/STEP papers

What advice would you give to future applicants?

Don't be afraid to say you don't know something, it happened a few times with me and I still got in. Try and be yourself as much as possible.
