Socialise with other candidates during interview period!
Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.
Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.
Test taken: BMAT
Number of interviews: 4
Skype interview: No
Interview spread: 2 on first day, 1 hour apart; 2 on second day, 30 minutes apart
Length of interviews: about 20 minutes each, but felt much shorter
My interviews had very little personal statement discussion, quite a few general questions with a focus on the medical profession, and a lot of science/maths discussion - not just relating to biology. After the start of the first interview I relaxed into things, since the atmosphere was mostly chill. However, it still felt like an interview, not just an ordinary friendly chat about the subject. I received source/object based questions as well as more general questions.
I used the BMAT practice papers.
The most useful thing I did was to socialise with other candidates before and after the interviews as it really helped take your mind off stressing and act a bit more naturally in the actual interview.
I understood that interviewers were looking for how you think not what you know and so I didn't do any specific learning before the interviews other than the BMAT prep, A-levels and wider reading I had already done.
