Overview 🔗 This is the Medicine section of the University undergraduate prospectus. The most important information about the course is here, including entry requirements, course structure, and prerequisites. It’s worth checking out the “Resource” tab for help with entrance exams as well as reading lists, etc. If you have a particular college in mind it may be worth seeing if they have a medical application section – they may have a few other recommended books!

Alternative Prospectus 🔗
This is an unofficial prospectus put together by the Cambridge University Student Union; it’s written based on students’ perspectives and gives a better sense of what the day-to-day experience as a Medicine student is like, compared to official materials.
The Cambridge MedSoc Guide to Applying to Medical School 🔗 🌟 A really useful guide compiled by current Cambridge Medicine students, about the application process and course content. In particular, check out the sections on writing Medicine personal statements, and preparing for common interview questions. The guide was written in 2019, so it is worth noting that expectations regarding work experience have been relaxed, as the university is mindful that Covid-19 will have inevitably prevented prospective applicants from completing work experience in the healthcare sector.
Cambridge Medicine Course Structure video 🔗 This YouTube video, made by a current Cambridge Medicine student, goes into detail about the modules available in each year of the Medicine degree. It includes a useful summary of unique aspects of the Cambridge course, such as the intercalation year.
The Medic Collective: interview resources 🔗 🌟 A page dedicated to preparing for an Oxbridge Medicine interview, including YouTube videos and advice from current students.
Reading Lists 🔗 These reading lists, compiled by King's College, are for the papers that first-years take. Don’t be intimidated by how long they are; they’re intended to be worked through over the course of a full academic year, and honestly no one reads everything anyway.
FAQ 🔗 🌟 Some examples of preparatory work for Medicine applicants and freshers.
InsideUni Medicine interview experiences 🔗 🌟 Current students talk about their interview experience, as well as sharing some tips. We’re biased, but we think they’re useful!
